Ethical Brand AList Footwear

At A:List Footwear we love our shoes, but we can’t hide from the fact that the fashion industry has the second biggest impact on our planet and its resources.

It’s confronting, we get it! But from knowledge and challenges, come possibility and a desire to make a difference. This drive is what led to the creation of A:LIST footwear. Our team is consciously committed to ethically made fashion, committed to the people behind the styles that you love and committed to doing our part for a more sustainable planet. We want you to adore what you wear and feel good about wearing it!

According to PETA, animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry! (CRAZY?!) Supporting brands that are free from animal products means you’re not only opting out of practises that are cruel, but it is a simple way to reduce your own carbon footprint. We know that animals are our friends, so our shoes have been manufactured to be 100% vegan friendly. At A:List we do not use any animal products in the materials, dyes or glues.

The amount of plastic and cardboard waste that comes from packaging used within the fashion industry is a problem we are unable to ingore. These products end up in landfill and can take centuries to break down. Doing our part to minimise this, we ensure that all our packaging is 100% environmentally friendly. Our shoeboxes are made from recyclable cardboard and our delivery satchels are 100% compostable!

Sadly, it's reported that there are more than 170 million children engaged in child labour. The UN defines child labour as, “work for which the child is either too young work done below the required minimum age – or work which because of its detrimental nature or conditions, is altogether considered unacceptable for children and is prohibited.” With the rise of fast and cheap fashion, many of these children have been found to work illegally in the fashion industry. Our close relationship with our factories means that we have guaranteed that they are not using children in the supply chain of A:LIST Footwear. We strongly believe that kids should be out in the playgrounds not in the factories.
